In a sellers market most agents will tell you that you don’t need to do anything to your home to get an offer. But everyone wants their home to look great in photos so it’s crucial you look at some of these home seller tips for outside the home. These tips will also help you get top dollar for your house and increase that curb appeal for those open houses and get those exterior photos looking amazing! In this blog we tried to focus on home seller tips for outside the home that don’t cost too much and can be done relatively easily.
First, landscape is key! This is going to be the first thing buyers see when they arrive to a showing or at an open house, and will most likely be the first picture someone sees when they get an email or click on your home. Make sure plants are looking fresh, weeded and watered and if you can throw some new mulch down. Your lawn should be mowed and trimmed with the walkways cleared of any debris. This will let people see your home at its best, even when we know it can’t look like that all the time.
Give the backyards some love too! It’s not just the front yard that needs up keeping. Backyards usually have some sort of fence around them, so it’s always a good idea to power wash PVC fences or unpainted wooden fences. If you have a painted fence then a fresh coat of paint can go a long way. While you have the power washer out there you can also do any patios or decks that you have. We also like to try and keep all the backyard toys and play sets organized for picture day and open houses, this will hopefully make any lawn care that much easier as well.
